On August 7, Manson took to Garbage's Instagram to elaborate on her condition. She described returning home from tour in a fragile state, requiring wheelchair assistance at airports. She also mentioned suffering from laryngitis and a cold sore.

Addressing concerns about her vocal health, Manson shared an image of her vocal cords, stating that they were "beautiful" according to her doctor. She wrote, "I was freaking out that I had somehow managed to damage my vocal cords on top of everything else, but everything is as it should be."

Manson initially announced the tour cancellation on August 1 via Garbage's Instagram. The band did not disclose the nature of her injury at the time, stating it required surgery and rehabilitation. They expressed regret and apologized to fans.

In her personal statement accompanying the band's announcement, Manson expressed her disappointment, stating that she would have pushed through if she could have.

Despite the canceled dates, Garbage remains optimistic for the future. They anticipate returning to the stage in 2025.
