K. Dot talks about racism and celebrates his American-African heritage on the track produced by Boi-1da and Terrace Martin.

AceShowbiz - Kendrick Lamar returns with a new song. Fresh off winning two awards at the Sunday, February 8 Grammy Awards, the rapper dropped "The Blacker the Berry" which was produced by Boi-1da and Terrace Martin.
Lamar tackles race and culture-related issues on the track. Over the boom-bap beat, he raps about discrimination against black people, "You never liked us anyway, f**k your friendship, I meant it/ I'm African-American, I'm African/ I'm black as the moon, heritage of a small village."
He also celebrates his American-African heritage, "Came from the bottom of mankind/ My hair is nappy, my d**k is big, my nose is rounded/ You hate me don't you/ You hate my people, your plan is to terminate my culture/ You're f**king evil/ I want you to recognize that I'm a proud monkey/ You vandalize my perception, but can't take style from me."
"The Blacker the Berry" is expected to be featured on Lamar's upcoming album, due out later this year. The track follows "i" which earned K. Dot Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance Awards at the Grammys.
