AceShowbiz - Anne Hathaway is preparing for a new project. On Wednesday, January 21, it was announced that the "Les Miserables" star would perform in a one-woman play "Grounded" which opens on April 7 through May 17. The 70-minute show is directed by Julie Taymor with the monologue by George Brant.

"Grounded" tells the story of a fighter pilot who is reassigned to operate drones from a trailer in Nevada after she gave birth. The show, which will be held at the New York's Public Theater, will explore her psychology following the change and touch the issue of modern warfare.

The show won the 2012 Smith Prize for Political Theater and the Fringe First award at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival. Hannah Cabell starred in the play when it was performed last year at Walkerspace in New York.

Artistic director Oskar Eustis expressed his excitement about the project. "Anne Hathaway and Julie Taymor are amazing, unique artists, and we are honored to produce them at The Public Theater," Eustis said. " 'Grounded' is a brilliant and important play, a meditation on the human and moral costs of our astonishing military technology. This promises to be an unforgettable theatrical event, and an important addition to our national conversation."
