Chris Hemsworth is facing off a giant whale in a new film titled "In the Heart of the Sea". In a new trailer released on Monday, December 22, the Australian star and his fellow whaling ship crew members can be seen blanching with fears when they find out that it was a monstrous whale which rocked their ship.

When the whale destroys their ship, Hemsworth and others have to find a way to make it go away from them, attacking the giant creature with a harpoon in one scene. The surviving people's scary thoughts and their desperate attempts to survive and go back to their family while floating on tiny boats for 90 days get worse with the conflicts among crew members. "We will survive," he says in the end of the trailer.

Directed by Ron Howard, the story is adapted from Nathaniel Philbrick's book "In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex" which focuses on whaling ship Essex which sinked in the Pacific Ocean in 1820 following an attack of the creature. In addition to the "Thor" actor, the movie stars Cillian Murphy, Benjamin Walker, Ben Whishaw and Charlotte Riley among others. It arrives in U.S. theaters on March 13.
