Heidi's photos for Sharper Image will appear in electronics and gift products ads in McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas after they're toned down.

AceShowbiz - Heidi Klum's photos for Sharper Image are revised after they were banned from Las Vegas airport. According to the Associated Press, the toned-down photos will appear in electronics and gift products ads in McCarran International Airport.

Airport spokeswoman Christine Crews said that Las Vegas-based Alliance Airport Advertising initially rejected a set of Sharper Image black-and-white photos featuring Heidi because the photos violated Clark County codes which are designed to protect families that pass through the airport.

The county codes prohibit "the showing of the female breast with less than a fully opaque covering or any portion thereof below the nipple."

According to Christine, Iconix Brand Group, the ad firm of Sharper Image, later submitted "amended proofs" and all five ads were approved to run from January 3 to 9 like the company originally requested.

Iconix Chief Marketing Officer Dari Marder told Extra, "We are shocked that the Sharper Image ads featuring Heidi Klum have been banned in Las Vegas - of all places. We believe the campaign is tasteful, beautiful and while sexy not inappropriate, in any way. The reaction to it has been fabulous to date and it is running in all forms of media without any issue."

Christine claimed Heidi's issue was common in advertising and it was not accurate to suggest that the entire campaign was banned. "While we are in Las Vegas, there are families that come through the airport and there are children that come through the airport. County codes are in place to serve the interests of everyone," she told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
