Meryl Streep shared a story about how Gwyneth Paltrow saved her Thanksgiving in an interview with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" on Wednesday, December 3. Meryl said her oven "didn't work."

"I hate my oven! I hate it," the "Into the Woods" actress shared, "You never hate your oven more than on Thanksgiving day when it won't cook the turkey." She said she and her family cooked their turkey "about 11 hours on low heat" and only "the white meat was done."

Meryl then revealed she asked help from Gwyneth, who lives in the same NYC building as her. "In my building is Gwyneth Paltrow," she said, "She has the best oven I have ever seen in my life... So I e-mailed her, and they weren't there."

Gwyneth gave Meryl permission to enter her apartment and used her kitchen. "So I went over and I did all the sides in her oven. And my brother was in charge of the turkey that would not cook." She added, "The sides were fantastic."

When asked if she went into Gwyneth's closet, Meryl said, "I brought one of my daughters who was dying to... They are all equally bad. They had to draw lots for who went with me, but it's a beautiful beautiful place with the best oven I have ever seen in my life."
