AceShowbiz - Bill Cosby stayed mum on the rape allegations that resurfaced after his attempt on dominating the Internet with #CosbyMeme backfired, but his lawyer has given a response on his behalf. John P. Schmitt says his client won't address the sexual assault claim and the statement he issued will be the one and only time they discussed the matter.
"Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced. The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true," Schmitt slammed the newly-revived allegations. "Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment."
The lawyer added, "He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work. There will be no further statement from Mr. Cosby or any of his representatives."
The former "Cosby Show" star previously declined to say a word when he was repeatedly asked about the sexual assault allegations against him during an interview on National Public Radio.
