"The Osbournes" revival may have found a home on VH1. Following Sharon Osbourne's revelation that the reality series would be brought back to life, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that VH1 is nearing a deal to order new episodes of the show.

The original "The Osbournes" aired on MTV for 4 seasons from 2002 to 2005, but the network said earlier this week that it had no involvement in the show's revival. A spokesman for MTV said, "There are no plans for the series to return to MTV."

Sharon, meanwhile, said on her talk show "The Talk" that the new version would consist of only six to eight episodes. "It's not as much coming back as a proper series (but) as an update," the family matriarch shared. "At most there'll be only six to eight episodes and it's a catch-up on our lives and where we are now cause it's been so long as we've been seen as a family and our family has grown. We have a granddaughter, a gorgeous daughter-in-law."

Mrs. Osbourne additionally said that it was her husband Ozzy Osbourne's idea to bring back the reality show. "It was all my husband's doing. He looked back on his life and he said, 'I wish we could have done 'The Osbournes' now where I'm clean and sober,' " she explained.
