Christopher Nolan Ripped Marvel, Rejected Post-Credits Scene for 'Man of Steel'
Movie

The 'Interstellar' director seems to take a dig at Marvel, saying that a real movie doesn't do post-credits scene.

Christopher Nolan is not too fond of post-credits scene often attached to Marvel movies. The director of "The Dark Knight" trilogy nixed Warner Bros.' idea to do the extra feature for "Man of Steel" and seemed to diss Marvel in the process.

"When the studio asked if Snyder would add a comedy coda ending, in the style of Marvel, Nolan's reply was 'A real movie wouldn't do that,' " reveals The Guardian in a profile of the "Interstellar" helmer who helped produce the Superman reboot.

WB has mapped out a number of DC superhero movies through 2020, but Nolan won't be involved in the expanded universe beyond "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". He serves as an executive producer for the sequel which is due March 25, 2016.

The director, however, didn't completely close the door on the possibility of revisiting the franchise someday. "I think I had a great experience with the superhero genre and got to explore a lot of things, but it was a good decade of my life and I find it hard to imagine returning to it. But never say never," he previously said.

"I love working in that field and hopefully I've added something to it. I know to some extent we encouraged more of it. You don't want Hollywood to hit saturation point with those things. But then Zack Snyder is now doing his part by bringing Batman and Superman into one film, so that limits the number!"
