A new photo shows Mama June Shannon allowing her 9-year-old daughter Honey Boo Boo a.k.a Alana Thompson to be close to her sex offender boyfriend. In the photo obtained by TMZ, Mama June could be seen sitting on the stairway while Alana was behind her with Mark McDaniel. The photo was allegedly taken last month.
Previously, TMZ shared several pictures, also taken last month, of Mama June house hunting with Mark in Hampton, GA. In one of the pictures, they appeared to walk hand in hand as they strolled in the property. In another picture, Mama June's daughter Pumpkin, who previously denied her mother was seeing Mark again, was seen joining her mother in the house-hunting trip. She even took a snap with Mark's son.
In previous report, Mama June's eldest daughter Anna Cardwell opened up about the molestation she suffered at the hands of Mark when she was 8-year-old. She told PEOPLE that Mark "would try and touch me and all that stuff."
Anna said she was "confused" and didn't know what to believe when reports of her mother dating Mark emerged while her mother kept denying it. "Mama said the story isn't true and she said she hasn't seen Mark since he's been out of jail," she shared, "My whole body believes that she is telling the truth, but my mind is going back and forth from - you know, hey, she's telling the truth or she's not telling the truth, but most of me believes her."
When asked if her mother might lie to her, Anna responded, "I would feel hurt. I would not feel betrayed, but I would feel hurt. You know the past should be in the past and it should stay in the past and not come back out."
She added, "I would not let her see Kaitlyn unless Mark is out of the picture or away because I don't want him nowhere near my child. Nowhere close to her."
