The late singer-songwriter receives his posthumous star on the Walk of Fame 17 years after his death.

John Denver was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, October 24. The late singer-songwriter posthumously received the walk's 2,531st star 17 years after his passing.
His son Zak Deutschendorf and daughter Jesse Belle Denver attended the unveiling which took place at 7065 Hollywood Blvd. John's hit song "Annie's Song" was played by Trampled by Turtles as a tribute to the late singer.
On the same day, a Hollywood photo exhibition called "Sweet Sweet Life: The Photographic Works of John Denver" was opened. According to the Associated Press, John's pictures will be on display at Hollywood's Substrate Gallery until November.
John's photo collection was previously exhibited at Leon Art Gallery in Denver and the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village.
Besides "Annie's Song", John, who died in a 1997 plane crash at age 53, is also best known for his optimistic songs including "Rocky Mountain High" and "Thank God I'm a Country Boy".
