AceShowbiz - Rose McGowan was among patrons of a New York restaurant targeted in a smoke bomb prank by a man on Friday, October 10. Following the incident, the "Charmed" actress took to Twitter to share the story. "Someone just threw two red smoke bombs into the restaurant I was eating in. Eyes are burning. #NYCWHAT," she wrote.
According to authorities, a man climbed out of a subway service grate outside of Bar Pitti on Sixth Ave. near W. Houston St. at about 5:30 P.M. He then threw a grenade-sized smoke bomb into the restaurant and quickly disappeared via the same grate. No one was injured in the incident.
"It was a big one...about the size of a grenade. Everybody panicked and half the people ran out. I'm just glad it wasn't anything explosive," an employee said, as reported by NY Daily News.
"I saw something get thrown right into the front door and red smoke started pouring out," an eyewitness additionally told Daily Mail. "The waiters looked really shocked. It was actually pretty scary because one of them picked it up and dropped it into the street where the smoke finished pouring out. People started panicking, but as it dispersed, some started taking pictures. The employees seemed really confused about what was happening."
The prankster, who is described as a white man with blond hair, was still at large on Friday night. He reportedly is in his 30s and wore a T-shirt featuring American flag.
