Lil Wayne is being sued by the producer behind his hit single "Mirror". According to TMZ, the producer named Ramon Owen a.k.a. REO claims the rapper failed to pay him for his work on the song.
REO states in a new lawsuit that Wayne and his Young Money label told him in a statement that he would receive at least $91,000 for his service. However, the producer never received any money from Tunechi.
"Mirror" appears on Wayne's 2011 album "Tha Carter IV". Featuring Bruno Mars on the hook, the chart-topping song has sold over 2 million copies.
REO revealed in a 2011 interview with MTV that some other rappers had listened to the "Mirror" beat before it eventually became Wayne's. "[Kanye West] heard it, Drake heard it, and it already had the Bruno [hook]," he said. "Basically, Nas had it for a while, and it just ended up in the hands of Wayne and he loved it."
