Mario Lopez admitted in his new memoir titled "Just Between Us" that he was only 12 when he had sex for the first time. Mario told PEOPLE, "I started having sex so young. The day before my 13th birthday."
He added, "Now that I'm a dad, I look back and I think, 'Oh my God!' But you've got to understand, when you're growing up in the hood, everybody grows up fast." Mario admitted sex was once his "drug of choice" and he almost became a father after he got a girl pregnant as a teenager.
"I could have a kid who is 25 years old. That's unbelievable," shared the "Extra" host. He said he offered to take a full-time job to support the baby and the mother but she chose to end the pregnancy.
In the memoir, Mario opened up about his relationship with Stacy Ferguson, his "Saved by the Bell" co-star Tiffani-Amber Thiessen and a "pop star" he refused to name.
Mario also addressed infidelity rumors which ended his first marriage to former Miss USA Ali Landry. "I got inebriated and a little too friendly with a young lady," he said, "When it was time to return home, lightning hit me with the truth: I wasn't in love. But I walked down the aisle [anyway]. Ali was hurt and angry, rightfully so."
Mario said he's an open book to his current wife, Courtney Mazza. "If I thought for a second it would have made her uncomfortable or that I was disrespecting her in any way, I wouldn't have done it," he shared, "But she is very comfortable in her own skin and in our relationship, so I didn't really have any qualms - except she keeps hitting me up with, 'Who's that pop star?' "
