Two lovely actresses are linked to "Magic Mike XXL". Variety reports Andie MacDowell has joined the cast of the "Magic Mike" sequel for an unknown role, while Jada Pinkett Smith is in talks to play the owner of a strip club, a role which seems to be similar to the one played by Matthew McConaughey in the first film.

Director Gregory Jacobs confirmed the "Dallas Buyers Club" actor would not return for the second movie. The film will be "very different," he said. "It's road trip movie and put it this way, it's different enough that once you see it you'll understand why we made a sequel. No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice."

The sequel is due in the States July 1, 2015. Channing Tatum penned the script with Reid Carolin, the writer of the first film. He is also back on the lead role, joining original cast like Matthew Bomer and Joe Manganiello. The original director Steven Soderbergh will still be involved in the production as the director of photography, camera operator and film editor.

Supported by Alex Pettyfer and Olivia Munn, "Magic Mike" was a surprise hit in 2012. Financed by Soderberg and Tatum with the budget of $7 million, the R-rated stripper flick raked in $113.7 million at the domestic box office alone. Aside from a sequel, a Broadway musical is also currently in the works.
