AceShowbiz - Melissa Rivers gives update on her mother Joan Rivers' condition amidst conflicting reports that the comedienne is being brought out of coma. The daughter confirms her mom is hooked on machines to stay alive but insists that "at this time she does remain on life support."

"On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received," Melissa says in response to the rumor. "I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers."

Joan was rushed to the Mount Sinai Hospital Thursday, August 28 after going into cardiac arrest during a throat surgery. Doctors put her in a medically induced coma as they attempted to assess the damage. Love, prayers, and get-well wishes were pouring in from friends and colleagues including her "Fashion Police" co-hosts Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, and George Kotsiopoulos.
