James Brown biopic "Get on Up" is set as the opening film of 2014 Zurich Film Festival. Director Tate Taylor, stars Chadwick Boseman and Octavia Spencer, as well as producer Mick Jagger are all scheduled to attend the premiere which is held on September 25.

"Get on Up" is screening out of competition. Brian Grazer, who produced the movie with Jagger is being given a career honor by the French festival which focuses on American films. Jessica Chastain and Will Ferrell are also among those to receive career tributes at the festival.

Taylor is no stranger to the festival. In 2011, he presented "The Help" which went on winning Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2012. The 10th Annual Zurich Film Festival, which ends on October 5, will announce the full programming on September 11.

"Get on Up" has premiered in the U.S. on August 1 and grossed $29.5 million so far. It is scheduled to open in French-speaking Switzerland on September 26, and in German-speaking Switzerland on October 9.
