A fresh trailer for "Maleficent" is released for Japanese audience. It offers a lot of never-before-seen footage including a scene where a silhouette of the winged witch and that of a male companion are standing close face to face against the backdrop of a sunset. There is also Aurora curiously reaching her hand to touch a gigantic flying creature.

The movie tells the untold story of Maleficent who turned from a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman into a bitter vengeful witch after the harmony of her land in a peaceable forest kingdom was threatened by an invading army. Angelina Jolie stars as the title character, Elle Fanning as Aurora, and Jolie's daughter Vivienne as the young princess.

The film marks the directorial debut of Robert Stromberg, the production designer of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Oz: The Great and Powerful". It will arrive in 3D theaters starting May 30. Lana Del Rey recorded a haunting cover of "Once Upon a Dream" as a soundtrack.
