Comedies '2 Broke Girls' and 'Mike and Molly' as well as dramas 'NCIS' and 'Criminal Minds' earn renewals, joining 'The Big Bang Theory' which has been renewed for three more seasons.

AceShowbiz - CBS has announced renewals for 18 series, including comedies "Two and a Half Men", "2 Broke Girls", "Mike & Molly" as well as freshmen "The Millers" and "Mom". They join top-rated sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" which was previously renewed through season 10.

On the drama side, Emmy-winning series "The Good Wife", "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service", "NCIS: Los Angeles", "Person of Interest", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", "Hawaii Five-0", "Blue Bloods", "Criminal Minds" and "Elementary" will return for one new season each. Reality shows "The Amazing Race" and "Undercover Boss", as well as newsmagazines "60 Minutes" and "48 Hours" also score renewals.

The network has previously renewed the long-running reality show "Survivor". Meanwhile, the fates of "The Crazy Ones", "The Mentalist" and "Intelligence" are still up in the air.

"The best way to launch new shows in the fall and throughout the season is to surround them with a strong and stable lineup of successful series," says Entertainment Chairman Nina Tassler in a statement. "The shows we're picking up today cut across every night of the week and feature genre leaders, time period winners and the most-watched shows on broadcast television."

With these renewals, there's only a little space open for new shows. CBS' CEO Les Moonves addressed this during the Deutsche Bank Annual Media, Internet & Telecom Conference on Tuesday, March 11. "With the addition of the NFL on Thursday night our schedule is pretty darn tight," he said, hinting that they might only add two new dramas and two new comedies to CBS' schedule for the next TV season.
