Ashley Benson has criticized the campaign poster of her own show, "Pretty Little Liars". The 23-year-old actress turned to social media sites on Wednesday, December 11 to send a message to her more than 2.5 million followers that beauty is unlike what the poster portrays.

Benson is not pleased with how the four main characters' faces were heavily air-brushed. "Saw this floating around ....hope it's not the poster. Our faces in this were from 4 years ago ....and we all look ridiculous," she captioned on Instagram, adding "Way too much photo shop. We all have flaws. No one looks like this. It's not attractive."

Benson, who was ill at that time, continued bashing the poster, "Remember, you are ALL beautiful. Please don't ever try and look like the people you see in magazines or posters because it's fake. It only causes an unhealthy mind about how you see yourself. You are perfect the way you are."

The poster, used to promote the winter season, shows a close-up look of Benson, and her co-stars Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Troian Bellisario in perfect make-up and hair. The ABC Family has not responded to Benson's comment. "Pretty Little Liars" will premiere season 4B on January 7 and it has been picked up for a fifth season.
