The 'Katie' host is confirmed to have been engaged over the Labor Day weekend after saying yes to John Molner's proposal.

AceShowbiz - Katie Couric, 56, is set to walk down the aisle for a second time. The former "Today" show host is officially engaged to her 50-year-old boyfriend, New York City banker John Molner, her representative confirms to the media.

The couple has been together for nearly two years. Molner reportedly popped the question to the "Katie" host with a spectacular diamond ring at sunset on the beach in East Hampton, N.Y. over the Labor Day weekend.

"Yes it's true! So touched by all the kind Tweets & warm wishes-thank you! A great end to the summer & looking fwd to seeing you all Monday!!" the TV personality gushed on Twitter later.

Couric has two daughters, Ellie, 21, and Carrie, 17, from her marriage to Jay Monahan, who died of colon cancer in 1998. After the loss of her husband, she did hope to find love again but dating was not easy for her.

"I always wanted a father figure for my daughters, but it hasn't worked out that way. I've had long-term relationships, but they haven't turned into life-long partners," she once said. "Also, when you get to my age, everyone is a bit wounded."

"So I think it's important to handle people with care--not to think, 'Oh, what a terrible date,' but just, 'This person isn't for me,' " she added. "Everyone has a lot of baggage. It's just can you fit it into the overhead bin?"

Couric and Molner first went public with their romance in April 2012. Before seeing him, the TV host was once linked to TV producer Tom Werner and financier Brooks Perlin.
