Evan Rachel Wood revealed details of her baby boy arrival, saying she had "a natural home birth." The new mom thanked actress/producer Ricki Lake in one of her first tweets after giving birth to her first child with husband Jamie Bell Monday, July 29.
"I have to say thank you @RickiLake for your inspiring documentary 'the business of being born' I never knew I had a choice when it came to labor," she wrote. "It taught me so much & aided my decision in having a natural home birth which my son & I are now forever grateful for."
The "True Blood" actress received a heartwarming response from Lake as the Emmy-winning TV host replied, "You are so welcome. Overjoyed to hear you had a positive birth experience & a beautiful son! :)#BOBB."
Wood also got praises from hubby Bell who tweeted, "Wow! What a day. Evan you are my warrior! You never cease to amaze. Thank you for birthing our son so naturally & peacefully. You did it!" She wrote him back, "And you are mine :) thank you for being there and helping me through it. I love you both more than words can say."
The new mom declared John Lennon's classic "Beautiful Boy" her song of the day. She later posted a clip of Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter's 1987 comedy movie "Raising Arizona". "This pretty much sums up my feelings today. My heart is ready to burst!" she said.
Bell added, "Amazing outpouring of love & congratulations from you Twitter folk. Thanks so much."
