First trailer for "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" has hit the web. Through the video which is set to Of Monsters and Men's "Dirty Paws", it is easy to tell that Ben Stiller delivers a potentially award-winning performance as the titular character, who retreats to his fantasy world to become a hero he cannot be in the real world.

There is barely any dialogue included in it as the trailer mostly features scenes of Stiller dreaming up some epic fantasies before being snapped back into real life by his tormenting co-worker, played by Adam Scott. Kristen Wiig also makes a brief appearance as Stiller's love interest and beautiful co-worker whom he saves from avalanche in his fantasy.

A remake of a 1947 same-title movie starring Danny Kaye, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" follows a timid magazine photo manager who lives life vicariously through daydreams and later embarks on a true-life adventure when a negative goes missing.

Penned by Steven Conrad, the movie was mostly shot in Iceland. Sean Penn, Shirley MacLaine, Kathryn Hahn and more support the movie.

"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" is pitted against "American Hustle", "47 Ronin" and "Jack Ryan" as they all are slated for a Christmas Day release.
