Joe Monteith, who got divorced from Cory's mother Ann, reportedly was not invited to a private viewing before the 'Glee' actor's body was cremated.

AceShowbiz - The father of Cory Monteith, Joe, is "devastated" after missing his son's cremation. Joe, who got divorced from Cory's mother Ann, told TMZ that he was informed about the cremation after the event. Therefore, he completely missed the cremation.
He confessed that he felt "totally devastated" by the fact that he could not see his son's body for the last time. "I always loved both my sons and am going to miss Cory very very much. I'm saddened at the fact that I couldn't have been there to see my son before he was cremated," he said.
The authorities released Cory's body to his mother on Tuesday, July 16. She later held a viewing at hospital with Cory's girlfriend Lea Michele and brother Shaun. Following the viewing, Ann was said deciding to cremate the "Glee" actor's body.
Cory was found dead in his hotel room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in downtown Vancouver on July 13. Before his passing, Cory was reported spending most of his time with Lea. Sources told PEOPLE that the couple was even planning to walk down the aisle.
On Tuesday, July 16, the B.C. coroner office revealed that "post-mortem testing, which included an autopsy and toxicological analysis, found that Mr. Monteith, aged 31, died of a mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol." There were no other substances found in his body, including Fentanyl.
