ABC and NBC are not the only networks which are busy preparing their 2013-14 schedules as CBS also makes announcement about several cancellations and pickups for the next TV season. Getting the boot from the Eye are veteran drama "CSI: NY", rookies "Vegas" and "Golden Boy", as well as comedy "Rules of Engagement".

To make up the loss, the network has ordered new dramas and comedies. Among those making it into the new series slate are Dylan McDermott's starrer "Hostages" from executive producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Rick Eid, and "Intelligence" which has Josh Holloway and Marg Helgenberger among the cast.

David E. Kelley's "Crazy Ones", which casts Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar as a father and his daughter, also gets a series order. It's joined by "The Millers" (starring Will Arnett, Margo Martindale), Chuck Lorre's "Mom" (starring Anna Faris) and "We Are Men" (starring Jerry O'Connell, Kal Penn).

Meanwhile, "Beverly Hills Cop" pilot reportedly has been rejected by CBS. The project which is based on Eddie Murphy-starring film of the same title may be shopped to other networks after CBS passed on the drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
