Hyping up the upcoming premiere of "House of Cards", Netfllix offers a glimpse into the new series by releasing a trailer. It gives a look at the intriguing life of a ruthless politician, Representative Frank Underwood, who crosses path with a young female reporter, Zoe Barnes.
Desperate for a break, Zoe who works at a top Washington newspaper makes a deal with Frank for a scoop that could cost her soul. She seemingly will sleep with Frank in exchange of top secret info.
Secret affairs and manipulative scheme are everywhere to be seen on the show as cutthroat Washington wheeler Frank hatches a plot to bring down the new president after being passed over for Secretary of State.
A U.S. adaptation of BBC's miniseries of the same title, "House of Cards" has Academy Award winner David Fincher serving as the director. Kevin Spacey plays Frank with Robin Wright Penn taking the role of Mrs. Underwood. Kate Mara portrays Zoe, joined in the cast ensemble by the likes of Corey Stoll, Kristen Connolly and Michael Gill.
All 13 episodes of the political drama series' first season will be available for Netflix subscribers starting February 1. A second season for the show is already in the works.
