Movies fans have something extra special for their Thanksgiving party. Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment have released a teaser trailer for "Despicable Me 2" on the week of Thanksgiving as part of promotions for the upcoming animated film.

The short, yet very amusing clip sees the film's minions chasing a turkey with a mace and an axe. The turkey makes funny sounds while trying to outrun the two minions, who think they have it all figured out with their turkey lunch. However, things quickly turn the other way around as several turkeys appear on screen carrying their own sets of axes and maces. The vengeful birds chase the two minions back from where they came.

"Despicable Me 2" brings back the talented animated team of directors Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud together with the unforgettable and loveable characters from the first movie, Gru, the girls, the unpredictably hilarious minions, and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.

Actor and comedian Steve Carell reprises his role as the voice of Gru and is joined by a group of other equally funny and talented voice cast members such as Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Russell Brand, Steve Coogan, Dana Gaier, Elsie Kate Fisher, and veteran actor Al Pacino.

"Despicable Me 2" will be released on June 28 in the U.K., and July 3 in the U.S.
