Gearing up for the twelfth season of "American Idol", FOX has debuted a new promo that highlights the new judges line-up. It has Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey as well as Randy Jackson holding cue cards which mention their names to continue the previous cue cards saying, "There are 7 billion people in the world, but there's only one..."
"Who will stand out from the crowd?" the video also asks through more cue cards. It wraps up with host Ryan Seacrest stating, "The show that started it all is starting its best season yet! There is only one 'American Idol'."
The new season of "American Idol" will premiere with a two-day event on Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17 of 2013. The auditions, meanwhile, have begun since September, shortly after it was officially announced that Minaj and Urban would join Carey to fill the empty seats on the judging panel.
Prior to the newly-released promo, FOX unleashed a teaser video that highlights season 11 winner Phillip Phillips and his road to fame.
