A first official look at Samatha Barks as Eponine has been revealed in one of several new stills from Tom Hooper's "Les Miserables". Making its way out via USA Today, the freshly-released image shows the Brunette beauty donning a dirty and ragged outfit while walking alone on a street.

In the Victor Hugo classic novel, Eponine a.k.a the Jondrette girl is described as a child who is pampered by her parents, The Thenardiers, before she ends up becoming a street urchin as she grows up. Eponine then falls in love with a man named Marius and dies trying to save his life.

In addition to Barks' first look, there are some new stills that features Hugh Jackman's Jean Valjean, Anne Hathaway's Fantine, Amanda Seyfried's Cosette, as well as Russell Crowe's Inspector Javert.

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, "Les Miserables" tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption - a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.

It focuses on ex-prisoner Valjean who is hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert after he breaks parole. When Valjen agrees to care for factory worker Fantine's young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.

Due to open wide in the United States on December 14, the musical movie is also supported by the likes of Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen as the Thenardier couple, Aaron Tveit as Enjolras, and Eddie Redmayne as Marius.
