Promoting "The Expendables 2", Lionsgate Films unleashed a preview for the new trailer of the upcoming star-studded action movie. Coming out via IGN, the teaser features a funny introduction from Terry Crew before offering a quick glimpse at a massive explosion during what looks like a battle scene.

In "Expendables 2", Barney Ross, Lee Christmas, Yin Yang, Gunnar Jensen, Toll Road and Hale Caesar are back with new members Billy the Kid and Maggie. They are set to embark on another adventure after Mr. Curch enlists the team to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries.

However, when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time.

Directed by Simon West, the sequel to 2010's "The Expendables" will bring back Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture. They are joined by newcomers in the franchise such as Chuck Norris, Liam Hemsworth, Yu Nan and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The full-length trailer will be debuted on Thursday, May 3 at 10 A.M. PT., while the movie itself is scheduled to open wide in the U.S. on August 17.
