The actress' short-lived marriage to Lopez was due to her tapping into his phone and finding out that there had been contacts made with another woman.

AceShowbiz - Although her marriage to Mario Lopez ended more than seven years ago, Ali Landry still remembers how she found out he was cheating on her. In a recent interview with "The Wendy Williams Show", the former Miss USA said she tapped into Lopez's phone two weeks after their wedding only to find out that there were calls from assorted woman.
Landry, who is now married to director Alejandro Monteverde, said, "I never spoke about it after it happened. That's probably the most dramatic thing that ever happened to me in my life. It was absolutely horrible - now I have a husband and children - but it was terrible."
She regretted ignoring her instincts. "I had heard something right before the wedding," she said. "He swore that it was not true but I had that feeling in my gut. But all my family was flying away for our destination wedding and it was a big trip for them. I really should have put the brakes on it at that point, but I was afraid ...One of girlfriends said, 'If you really want to know, I know how to tap a phone.' The craziest thing. I thought, 'I don't want to tap his phone. This is the man I've been with, I should trust him'."
But she eventually did it after their honeymoon and found out the truth. "I confronted him and he denied it," said Landry. "He never apologized. Still to this day." When Williams asked whether Lopez's statement that he was friends with all his exes, Landry said, "That's a lie." She has not spoken with the "Extra" host after their marriage was annulled.
"To me it's not about putting the blame on him, it's about how a woman can move on from a situation like that. I am very grateful that happened because I would not be where I am today," she said, referring to her meeting with Monteverde while attending a theology class.
She even went abstain from having sex before marriage to Monteverde due to her situation with Lopez. "I was treading lightly and didn't want to make any mistakes in this relationship," she explained. "So we abstained from having sex until we got married." They have been married for six years now and have two children together.
