A Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman says that the Ian Thomas depicter failed a field sobriety test after being stopped for a routine traffic violation on Sunday, November 6 night.

One "Pretty Little Liars" cast member has found himself in trouble with the laws over the weekend. Ryan Merriman, the actor who plays Ian Thomas on the ABC Family series, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving at approximately 11:30 P.M. on Sunday, November 6, E! News reported.
On details of his arrest, Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman Kathy Lowe dished that the 28-year-old was pulled over by a patrol officer after seeing him going over the limit line at a red light. "He was stopped for the traffic violation and officers observed symptoms that he had been drinking and driving," she said. "They performed a field sobriety test which he then failed."
The Kevin Fischer of "Final Destination 3" was then taken to a nearby Newport Beach police station to be booked on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Kathy additionally noted that "arresting officers believed it was for booze". The actor's bail was set at $2,500, and it's unclear if it has been posted.
