New videos from the set of "The Avengers" in Cleveland have been available online. The videos feature two of the main characters, Thor and Captain America, in their full costume while filming their fighting scene on Friday, August 19.

Both superheroes are seen battling some bad guys. Thor is spotted throwing his hammer, while Captain is seen wielding his shield to defeat their foes. A light explosion is also seen on the shooting location.

The filming with Thor and the Cap took place in the middle of East Ninth Street, that has been transformed into the 42nd Street of New York City. Earlier this week, the street was shaken by massive explosions with NYC yellow cabs and cars being blown into the air. Chris Evans had filmed some other Captain America scenes before the Thor depicter, Chris Hemsworth, joined him on the set.

Based on Marvel Comics' superhero characters, "The Avengers" will bring together The Hulk, Iron Man and Hawkeye in addition to Captain America and Thor. Joining Evans and Hemsworth in the cast ensemble are Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Clark Gregg, Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hiddleston. The Joss Whedon-directed film is due to hit U.S. theaters on May 4, 2012.
