More footage from "The Vampire Diaries" season 3 has been shared in a new sneak peek for the first episode. It teases another fight between Stefan and Damon since the former cannot free himself from blood addiction and asks his brother to let him go.
To Elena, Damon says that Stefan is not coming back and advises her to forget him, but she refuses to give up on finding Stefan. The promo video additionally teases a new couple alert by featuring half-naked Caroline jumping on a bed with shirtless Tyler.
The third season of "Vampire Diaries" will premiere Thursday, September 15 at 8 P.M. on The CW with an episode that is set on Elena's 18th birthday. Ian Somerhalder recently dished on Damon's gift for his love interest, saying "She refuses to let him buy her anything, so he doesn't technically give her anything for her birthday."
The Damon depicter added, "But he came across something that she really, really, really wanted and needed, and he did what he had to do to get it for her. She thinks that he stole it, or that he found it. It's a very beautiful moment between them. It's a really sweet, quiet moment."
