One more notable actor is injected to the all-star cast of "Rock of Ages". Will Forte of "Saturday Night Live" is joining Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige, Paul Giamatti and the rest of the cast in the Broadway musical adaptation directed by Adam Shankman.

The project actually has been filming for weeks now, but it looks like it's not too late for the producers to add one more character. According to THR, Forte will be playing Mitch Miley, the head anchor of a network news show, a part not in the show's stage production.

"Rock of Ages" takes set in 1987 on the Sunset Strip where a small town girl met a big city rocker and in LA's most famous rock club. They fell in love to the greatest songs of the 80s. Hits from Journey, Poison, Twisted Sister, Whitesnake and more would be blended together in the musical film.

Warner Bros. Studios plans to release the film June 01, 2012.
