Jason Aldean brought the "Dirt Road Anthem" to close the June 8 star-studded ceremony of 2011 CMT Music Awards. Introduced by host Kid Rock, his Wednesday night performance was infused with some Hip-Hop flavor when Ludacris joined him on stage.

After the duet performance, Kid Rock returned to the stage to bid goodnight to audience. He then tossed it back to Jason to send the people home before the lights at the Bridgestone Arena were off. The country music crooner made a solo performance of "My Kinda Party".

At this year's CMT Music Awards, Jason was on the shortlist of Video of the Year nominee along with Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert and Sugarland. He failed to take the top honor home because it's snatched by 21-years-old Taylor. She wrote on Twitter after her winning, "Ahhhh!!!! I'm jumping up and down in the dressing room, so stoked about the Video of the Year award!!! Thank you! Thank you! You guys...!"
