Warner Bros. Pictures has rescheduled "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" release date. After scheduled for a fall 2011 release, "Journey 2" starring Vanessa Hudgens as Kailani is now set to be released on January 27, 2012.

The studio has also settled release dates for two other forthcoming movies. "Dark Shadows", which stars the likes of Johnny Depp and Eva Green, is slated to haunt theaters across the nation on May 11, 2012. Meanwhile, Jay Roach-directed "Rivals" is scheduled to open in theaters Stateside on August 10, 2012.

Another studio Lionsgate, meanwhile, has set a release date for "What to Expect When You're Expecting". The drama film, whose script is written is by Shauna Cross and Heather Hach, will arrive in theaters on the same day when "Dark Shadows" hits the big screen.

"Journey 2" serves as the sequel to Brendan Fraser's adventure movie, "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D". A new journey begins when young adventurer Sean (Josh Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist. Together with his new stepfather (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson), a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his daughter, they set out to find the island.

"Dark Shadows" is a gothic-horror movie which is centering on the life of vampire Barnabas Collins and his run-ins with various monsters, witches, werewolves and ghosts. The film is based on the 1960s popular "Dark Shadows" TV series.

In the meantime, "Rivals" revolves around Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, two opposing political candidates who are vying for a position of President of the United States. The movie has Chris Henchy and Shawn Harwell provide the script.

"What to Expect When You're Expecting" tells a story of four couples who are all expecting their first child, as they come to understand that things seldom go according to plan when having a baby. Directed by Kirk Jones, the drama film has Cameron Diaz take the lead role.
