Donald Trump is not the only celebrity who contemplates being the president of the United States. Ted Nugent will run for president when he lends his voice in an upcoming episode of FOX's "The Simpsons", Entertainment Weekly reports.

The 62-year-old rock singer/guitarist is set to play himself who happens to be a Republican candidate for president in "Politically Inept, With Homer Simpson" which will air when the show returns for a new season. His character seeks Homer's endorsement, while Homer himself has become a populist TV pundit with his show "Gut Check with Homer Simpson".

Nugent's stint in "Politically Inept, With Homer Simpson" will mark his first appearance on the animated comedy. Previously, he was only briefly heard on the phone in "I Don't Wanna Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" of season 19.
