If only the incarcerated rapper could attend the Video Music Awards, it would be 'the illest moment,' so Drake says.

Drake has been confirmed to perform at the September 12 ceremony of MTV Video Music Awards. The rapper is joined by Kanye West and Florence and the Machine on the line-up and he thinks having Lil Wayne will complete the awards event even more.

"That would be the illest moment," he said when met by MTV at a VMA promotional shoot. "Mob through. The whole Young Money. ... Nobody knew about it. We just all show up. ... Or we could get him out for a day. And even if he had to wear a jumpsuit or something."

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night at 9 P.M. ET/PT. Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, Ne-Yo, Penn Badgley and Trey Songz are tapped as presenters. Fans can vote for the winners at vma.mtv.com. This year, the nominations list is dominated by Lady GaGa with 13 nods.
