Carrie Underwood is now a married woman. The Grammy-winning singer swapped vows with ice hockey star Mike Fisher in a lavish ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, in Georgia, on Saturday night, July 10.
Carrie and Mike tied the knot before 250 friends and family, People reported. For the nuptials, which featured classical music and the couple's favorite Bible readings, Carrie walked down the aisle in a Monique Lhuillier chantilly lace gown and her bridesmaids donned dresses by the coveted designer as well.
Carrie and Mike have released statement to the site to share about the happy news. The newlyweds said, "We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us," and signed that statement under "Mike & Carrie Fisher."
On Sunday, July 11, Carrie and Mike were spotted by Radar Online at LAX. The newlyweds were boarding a flight headed out of the country for their honeymoon. Life & Style magazine previously reported that Mike has booked an exotic getaway to Tahiti and Bora Bora for 11 days. They were said to visit Tahitian cities Papeete and Raiatea, before heading to Bora Bora.
