"The Boy Is Mine" singer Monica is heading down the aisle. However, she will not be the one who will exchange the wedding vows because she will only serve as the bridesmaid at the wedding of her childhood pal, Tameka Cottle aka Tiny.
"I'm the bridesmaid! Me and Tiny have been friends for years. I was 12 when we met," Monica told Hip Hop Weekly. And when asked about the detail of the upcoming nuptials, the 29-year-old singer refused to share but insisted, "It's going to be beautiful."
Monica's BFF, Cottle, is set to wed rap superstar T.I.. The Xscape's member has been dating T.I. since 2001. The soon-to-be married couple already has two sons together, Clifford Harris III and Major Harris. Their daughter, Llayah Amour, was stillborn six months into a complicated pregnancy.
Monica herself recently split from Rodney R. Hill aka Rocko, her fiance and father of her sons. On March 11, she announced the separation on her Twitter page, writing "Even separated we will always be family. I say thank U again to U all. And as I live and learn I grow. Don't feel sorry for me just pray for me. Gods got it. Have a great day."
