Not only Michael Jackson's documentary "This Is It" but also the film's soundtrack has been a hit. "This Is It" album debuted atop Billboard Hot 200 with 373,000 copies sold, becoming the fifth-best sales week for an album in the U.S. this year.
This is not the first time Michael returns to Billboard chart with his effort. Earlier this year soon after his sudden death in June, Jackson also ruled Top Comprehensive Albums and Top Pop Catalog Albums with his 2003 greatest hits "Number Ones".
Next on the Hot 200 chart, Creed become this week's runner-up with their new studio release "Full Circle" which sold around 110,000 copies. Furthermore, Taylor Swift's "Fearless" jumps from No. 7 to No. 3 with 109,000 units sold. Since being released in November 2008, the album has remained on the Top 10 of the chart for 157 weeks, becoming the longest-charting album of the decade.
"That's a crazy statistic," Taylor told MTV News at "Saturday Night Live" rehearsal. "It means that my first album that came out, the self-titled album, charts longer than I guess any album this century."
Additionally, Taylor has her five new songs from the re-issue of "Fearless" album debuting in the Top 30 of Hot 100. "Jump Then Fall" opens at No. 10 followed by "Untouchable" at No. 19. "The Other Side of the Door" enters at No. 22, "Superstar" debuts at No. 27 and "Come In With the Rain" at No. 30. With those achievements, she becomes the female artist with the most charted titles in a single week.
