Solange Knowles actually has been rumored to be on the verge of splitting with Interscope Records since April this year. At that time however, her father/manager Matthew Knowles denied the speculation, insisting that "the joint venture with Music World and Interscope/Geffen/A&M is very much in placed for Solange." She herself also affirmed that matter, taking it to Twitter writing, "I am still on Music World/Geffen/ Interscope records."

The younger sister of Beyonce Knowles only released one studio album "Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams" under Instercope. "Geffen did a one-off deal with Music World Entertainment for Solange and wasn't interested in doing a new contract with her," a source told AOL Black Voices.
