Contrary to her estranged-husband Deryck Whibley who has had a new girlfriend post their separation, Avril Lavigne still finds it hard to deal with the divorce though she is the one who files the documents to have their marriage dissolved. In a bid to mend her heartache, the songstress reportedly invites some of her friends to sleep at her house.

"They've been having sleepovers and doing girlie stuff like watching movies, baking cupcakes and having girl talk," a source tells E! News. "She's in the process of healing." Avril herself has not yet made a statement about the report.

Avril Lavigne wed Deryck Whibley in July 2006. After repeatedly denying rumors that her marriage to the lead vocalist of band Sum 41 was on the rocks, she announced last month that they had separated. She then filed for divorce from him on October 9, citing irreconcilable differences.

Post the split, Avril was reported dating billionaire Justin Murdock, a claim that her representative has denied and dubbed as "totally 100 per cent not true." Deryck, meanwhile, is said dating aspiring model Hanna Beth Merjos. On Monday, October 19, they were videotaped making out during a visit at tattoo studio called Tattoo Mania in Hollywood.
