Unlike Brian, the remaining members of the boyband have been cleared off the disease and are not showing any symptoms.

AceShowbiz - One of Backstreet Boys personnel, Brian Littrell, has been diagnosed with swine flu. The news was confirmed through a post on the band's official website dated Monday, October 5. Besides, Brian himself has also taped a video, speaking of his health condition.

"The Backstreet Boys are sad to announce they have canceled today's NYC PINKTOBER Hard Rock Cafe signing due to member, Brian Littrell having been diagnosed with the Swine Flu," read the announcement. "The other 3 members, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and A.J. McLean have seen a doctor and are not showing any symptoms. As a preventive measure, the doctor has prescribed Tamiflu to the group and their touring party, who had just returned to the states from Tokyo."

As for Brian, he's been quoted as confirming in the footage, "We were really looking forward to spending time with our closest fans and friends in NYC and take part of PINKTOBER, an unbelievable and important program. I hope we can come back soon and do everything we can to help."

Brian's illness forces the boyband to cancel their scheduled performances, including those in CBS' "Early Show" and at PC Richards. "The rest of the band's promotional schedule for this week has not been determined. Details to come," confirmed the announcement on the band's website.

Notwithstanding Brian's swine flu diagnose, Backstreet Boys have been confirmed to be in New York to support their new album "This Is Us", which will be released on Tuesday, October 6.
