Kanye West Calls Taylor Swift to Apologize for MTV VMAs Rant

West has phoned Swift on Tuesday, September 15 to personally apologize for his MTV VMAs rant and she accepts it.

AceShowbiz - Country music singer Taylor Swift has confirmed that Kanye West already phoned her to personally apologize for interrupting her Best Female Video Award acceptance speech at the 26th Annual MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 13. West, according to Swift, called him on Tuesday, September 15, soon following her appearance in "The View", during when she said he had not yet contacted her following the infamous rant.

"I mean, he has not personally reached out to me or anything," she revealed on the talk show. "But if he wanted to say 'Hi,' [sure]." And it was shortly thereafter that West contacted Swift to offer his personal apology. Swift herself has told ABC News Radio, "Kanye did call me, and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology."

Reaffirming Swift's statement, "The View" has issued a statement that read, "After the show he spoke personally to the country music superstar via telephone and has apologized to the 19-year-old singer. She has accepted Mr. West's apology. The contents of the phone call are to remain private."

Prior to his latest apology, Kanye West already offered two apologetic statements to Taylor Swift after he stole her moment at the weekend awards show. He posted his first message only hours after the incident took place before then posting a shorter message on Monday, September 14. Later that day, he also offered another apology during his appearance in "The Jay Leno Show".
