Leona Lewis' new single 'Happy', which is written by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, has made its rounds.

Leona Lewis' lead single off new album "Echo" has been unveiled on BBC's "The Radio 1 Chart Show" on September 6. Hours after the debut, the audio stream of the Ryan Tedder-penned track hit the web.

Commenting on the song, Leona said, "The vocal was totally spontaneous. I sang it as soon as we finished writing. Sometimes it's better not to over-think things." Ryan added, "I honestly feel it is the most beautiful song I've ever been a part of."

The OneRepublic's frontman explained further, "My goal when I started working on Leona's new album was to 'NOT' chase or be influenced by any of her previous hits- or any songs I've ever done with anyone else- including 'Bleeding Love'. True artists do not look back to previous successes they look forward to creating new moments and songs the world can connect with in a different way. And that is what Leona has done with 'Happy'. I hope u like it as much as we do, and I hope the lyrics hit u as hard as they hit me."

Leona Lewis is expected to sing "Happy" at Paula Abdul-hosted VH1 Divas Concert on September 17. After being promoted through Divas Concert and "some other stuff," this song will be put out for digital purchase on November 8 with its physical release to hit the stores in U.K. a day later. "Echo" itself is set to arrive in U.K. on November 16 and in U.S. the next day.

Sorry, the audio stream link has been removed at the request of Sony BMG.
