AceShowbiz - An official announcement has been made on Britney Spears' official website that fellow singer Jordin Sparks will be a special guest on the on-going "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" tour. The winner of "American Idol" season 6 will be an additional opening act for the second North American leg of the tour.
Sparks is scheduled to perform on the U.S. portion of the trek that includes dates in New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Detroit, and Chicago among others. She will then conclude her part with a performance on September 26 and 27 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV.
"Britney's show is incredible and for me to be a part of it is a great opportunity," Sparks said of her inclusion in the road show.
Meanwhile, previously announced opening act Kristinia DeBarge is confirmed to perform on all dates of the tour. Up-and-coming acts Girlicious and One Call, additionally, will appear in select cities.

UPDATE : Amidst speculation that Jordin Sparks' inclusion in Britney Spears' "Circus" tour is to replace previously announced opening act Ciara, Rap-Up.com claims to have been informed by Ciara's representative the R 'n' B female performer is no longer attached to the trek. Though it has been stated that Ciara may perform on a couple dates, no further detail has been announced at the time of writing.
