American Idols will invade the stage of the 51st Annual Grammy Awards. Third season finalist Jennifer Hudson and fourth season champion Carrie Underwood are among the acts introduced to sing at the prestigious event held on Sunday, February 8 at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

This would be the second televised appearance by Hudson following the tragedy that struck her family back in October 2008 and resulted in the murders of her mother, brother and nephew. She will first kick off Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, February 1 which will be broadcast by NBC.

Hudson will be at Grammys not only as a performer but also a nominee. She receives four nominations mostly for her self-titled debut effort; Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song (for "Spotlight"), Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals for her duet with Fantasia Barrino ("I'm His Only Woman"), and Best R&B Album.

Similarly, Underwood is also a nominee for two. She is contending in Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media (for "Ever Ever After").

Both of them will join the previously announced line-up that include Kenny Chesney, Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, and Katy Perry.
