The producer/rapper confirmed the plan to MTV stating that although he hasn't set a release date yet, he already recorded some songs for the new LP.

Timbaland also said that on the new album he will be working with lots of musicians from different kinds of genres and it will be like a compilation set more than anything. Moreover, on the interview he also named some of the stars that he is planning to tap saying, "Of course I'mma do one with Beyonce Knowles. Of course I'mma do one with Jordin Sparks, Rihanna. It's a lot of people. I'mma do one with Jonas Brothers. I'mma try to have 10 major ones." Beside those names, the renown music producer also stated that he will also team up with hip-hop studs such as Jay-Z, T.I. and T-Pain.

Beside preparing his solo album, Timbaland is still doing his usual producing duties. After working on Chris Cornell and Missy Elliott's upcoming solo records, the producer/rapper will be assisting Jay-Z on his upcoming new LP.
